Scope & content
This one-day event is meant to bring together developers from the eZ publish ecosystem to share their knowledge, exchange ideas and foster future projects on extensions and enhancements. The workshop will start with a few technical tutorials on specific topics during a morning session. The afternoon is dedicated to a Barcamp (or unconference) for which you, the attendees, are the drivers.
Schedule
Tutorial session (10h00-12h30)
- Who's afraid of Java? Configuring and using the Lucene and Solr search plugins (Paul Borgermans)
- Advanced use of persistent objects: integrating "foreign" databases (Kristof Coomans)
- Collaboration and workflows without the workflow engine (Xavier Dutoit)
Lunch (12h30-13h30)
Traditional pizza's from Skien will be served for free!
Barcamp (13h30-17h00)
Subjects brought forward already (more can be added):
- User interfaces,
- PHP5 port and the community,
- When to ditch the eZ publish template system,
- Alternatives to Apache
